The music started taking shape about two years prior, after Richard took a break from music for several years. Besides being known for his drumming skills, Richard has been playing guitar actively since 1992. The project was named Charred Walls of the Damned. After finishing the album's music in 2009, Richard assembled his dream team of musicians, whom he believes are among the best in the world. The team includes the famous producer Jason Suecof, who has produced or mixed albums for many leading metal bands like Trivium, All That Remains, and Bury Your Dead. Richard and Jason have been friends for over a decade and wrote music together when Richard lived in Florida. The legendary metal vocalist Tim 'Ripper' Owens will handle the vocals. Richard and Tim played together in Iced Earth from 2003 - 2004. Tim is well - known for his work with Judas Priest and currently performs with Beyond Fear and Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force. On bass guitar is Steve DiGiorgio, one of the most respected bassists in metal. Richard and Steve have played in bands like Control Denied and Iced Earth. DiGiorgio has also performed with many other great bands and is famous for his technical skills on the fretless bass. This is a Metal Blade Records item #147891.
