Formed in 2011, INSECT ARK is a Berlin - based duo. It features American artist Dana Schechter (from SWANS), handling bass, lap steel, synth, and vocals, and Tim Wyskida (from KHANATE and BLIND IDIOT GOD) on drums and percussion.
Raw Blood Singing is the band's fourth full - length album. It blends avant - Metal, psych - Doom, and experimental Goth. The music starts with soft synth whispers and builds up to a massive wall of sound. Thanks to Schechter's amazing lap steel guitar and bass playing, and Wyskida's powerful drumming, it creates a rich, bleak, and expansive musical landscape.
