It's been 16 years since Norwegian progressive folk band Lumsk's last album release. But they haven't been idle. In fact, they began working on this album shortly after releasing “Det Vilde Kor”, with the first recordings starting as early as 2009. However, life got in the way, and they worked on “Fremmede Toner” intermittently until 2022. “Fremmede Toner” is named after a collection of poems by Norwegian author André Bjerke. He translated and re - authored poems from some of Europe and North America's most famous poets. This record is inspired by these poems. The concept was to compose music for the Norwegian versions and then mirror the songs with the original poems. The songs are similar yet distinct. On “Fremmede Toner”, Lumsk welcomes new guitarist Roar Grindheim and vocalist Mari Klingen, whose contributions give the band a unique sound. This highly anticipated comeback is a major leap forward for Lumsk. This is a double vinyl of Lumsk 'Fremmede Toner'. It's officially licensed Lumsk merchandise, a gatefold 2LP with turquoise and gold - coloured vinyl and printed inner sleeves.
