The Norwegian 8 - piece alternative progressive pop orchestra, MEER, greets you with a powerful sound, wonderful melodies, amazing harmonies, and plenty of surprises. In 2008, MEER began as a duo in Hamar, Norway. Since then, it has grown significantly into an eight - piece diverse group. Their music combines orchestral pop, classical music, and progressive rock. With their magnificent string arrangements and polyphonic vocals, MEER's sound is anything but minimalistic and moves in a seemingly continuous flow. The current lineup includes Johanne Kippersund and Knut Kippersund on vocals, Eivind Strømstad on guitar, Åsa Ree on violin, Ingvild Nordstoga Eide on viola, Ole Gjøstøl on piano, Morten Strypet on bass, and Mats Lillehaug on drums. If you love symphonic, orchestral, melodic, and catchy progressive rock with lots of energy, you'll surely enjoy 'Playing House' by MEER.
