Initially, David Astor played bass and Gabe Serbian played drums, both also part of the underground hit The Locust. They brought in Travis Ryan as their vocalist. With Ryan on board, Astor switched to drums and Serbian to guitar. The 3 - piece quickly released two albums, Human Jerky LP and Homovore CD/LP. Later, they added bassist Troy Oftedal and recorded their third full - length, To Serve Man, in 2002 on Metal Blade, reaching a wider death - metal audience. In 2002, they added a second guitarist, Josh Elmore. After Serbian left for The Locust, Elmore became the sole guitarist. Recorded with producer Bill Metoyer (known for working with Slayer, WASP, Six Feet Under), Humanure features new drummer Michael Laughlin (formerly of CREATION IS CRUCIFIXION). The band parted ways with David Astor in May 2003 due to his inability to meet touring and band requirements. Humanure has guest appearances by ex - members like Gabe Serbian and his band The Locust, and original vocalist Scott Miller. It's item #144802 from Metal Blade Records.
