'The Pestilence' adds five intense compositions to Centinex's death - metal catalog. Since 1990, Centinex has built a reputation in the metal scene. As the older sibling of the well - known underground band Demonical, Centinex operates in a similar sonic realm but leans towards a less melodic and more traditional death - metal style, emphasizing austerity, brutality, and unique riffs. The two bands are connected by bassist and founder Martin Shulman, who is also the key songwriter for Centinex. He said about 'The Pestilence': 'Influenced by the old thrash scene, especially the German one, this release takes us back to Centinex's early days. It's something new and a direction we'll likely explore further. We believe the past of extreme metal was brighter, so we're delving deeper into history. We aimed for an old - school, organic sound, a production that contrasts with today's standard.'
