God Alone, a five-piece math/noise rock band from Cork, Ireland, consists of students from the CIT Cork School Of Music. They blend the thick atmosphere of post - metal with elements of indie, hardcore, jazz, and dance music. In late 2016, they self - released their debut EP 'INTIVIM' to critical acclaim. Then, they launched their first full - length album 'Poll na mBrón', which draws inspiration from events and stories at Our Lady's 'Hospital' in Cork. After its release, they went back to the studio and in November 2019, dropped their sophomore self - titled EP. This EP allowed them to embark on their first headline tour across Ireland and the UK. God Alone has performed at many Irish festivals such as Townlands Carnival, Monolith Festival, and the Siege of Limerick. They recently won the 'Mammothfest Best Band Competition' in Brighton, defeating 200 bands from Ireland and the UK. They're also set to appear at ArcTanGent 2022 in the UK. Their first single 'Dagda', described as'sad metal with some dancey bits', was hailed by Overblown as 'a blast of visceral fury and dance - floor - filling interludes'. They've been featured and interviewed on various media platforms like Hot Press, Totally Cork, Kerrang, and Metal Hammer. Their latest release is bound to push the boundaries of metal even further. As Kerrang said, 'The band’s new self - titled EP hits that sweet spot in a way that makes God Alone memorable from the start.' Metal Hammer also noted, 'With God Alone, you realize what makes the next generation of metal bands so special.'
