Jordsjø, a dynamic duo hailing from Oslo, Norway, draws inspiration from classic horror flicks, 70s German synth sounds, Swedish prog, fantasy tales, and the beauty of Norwegian nature. After releasing three cassette demos, they present 'Jord' as their first truly polished album. This record pays homage to older, especially Scandinavian, prog music and is a more refined offering compared to their previous works. The album explores themes of alienation, roots, and dreams, with a sound that combines organic elements and dynamic energy, reminiscent of 70s prog with hints of electronic and folk music. The use of flute, guitars, and a wide range of vintage synths gives 'Jord' a warm, vintage feel while remaining fresh and engaging. The band features multi - instrumentalist Håkon Oftung (from Tusmørke, Black Magic) and drummer Kristian Frøland.
