Details
The re-issue of Lindy-Fay Hella's debut solo album is here! Previously recognized for her work with Wardruna, Lindy-Fay Hella has embarked on a brand - new, deeply personal musical journey. Although there are some faint connections to her Wardruna days, 'Seafarer' is a pure creation of its maker's unique vision.
At the heart of 'Seafarer' lies Hella's powerful voice - intense, yearning, and gentle. Initially, the album was built solely on human voice melodies and intonations. But then, curiosity took over, and layers of complex percussion, synths, and programming were added to form a framework through which her beautiful vocals flow.
The origin of 'Seafarer' goes back to February 2017 when Hella began solo recording experiments. Gradually, she invited others into her creative world, starting with Herbrand Larsen and her cousin, Ingolf Hella Torgersen. Each new participant was given a simple instruction: choose an instrument and contribute as they saw fit. The result is a rich blend of emotions, with countless small details creating a harmonious whole.
By embracing natural development, Hella has crafted an album that truly reflects her vision and the world around her - personally, spiritually, and artistically.
