'The Pestilence' adds five intense compositions to CENTINEX's deathly metallic catalog, which has a rich history of well - regarded releases since 1990. As the older sibling of the respected underground group Demonical, CENTINEX operates in a familiar sonic space but leans towards a less melodic and more traditional death metal style, emphasizing austerity, brutality, and unique riffs. The two bands are connected by bassist and founder Martin Shulman, who is the key songwriter for CENTINEX. He said about 'The Pestilence': 'Taking influences from the old thrash scene, especially the German one, this release brings us back to our roots and the early days of Centinex. It also represents something new and a direction we'll likely explore further in the future. We'll look back and dig deeper into the history of extreme metal as we believe the past was more vibrant than the future. In terms of production, we aimed for an old - school, organic, and lively sound, which is very different from the current industry standard.' The EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jonas Arnberg between June and July 2021 at Sellnoise Studios in Sweden. The cover photo was taken by Susan Wicher, and the artwork was created by Dwi Nugraha. Tracklist: 1. Armageddon 2. Evil is Evil 3. Tremble in Fear 4. Torture
