The album 'Fatal' was crafted between 2019 and 2022, gradually and consistently, mainly during rehearsal sessions. From May 2022 to November 2022, Kaos recorded and mixed it at Chaotic Doom Cave studios. In early 2023, Scott Hull mastered it at Visceral Sound Studios. Goatburner draws inspiration primarily from their own music created over the years for other groups their members are or have been part of. They also get inspiration from old - school death metal bands like Autopsy, Bolt Thrower, Entombed, Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, and Demigod.
