Despite the challenges faced by INNER STRENGTH after the release of their great 1993 album, Shallow Reflections, due to the dissolution of their record label, the band was still highly active in the mid - 90s. They kept rehearsing, performing live, and creating some of their best music. Their sound evolved towards a thicker and crunchier style while staying true to their core identity. As they worked on The Common Theme, their sophomore album that never fully materialized, their sound continued to change. By early 1997, the band renamed itself TILT, and key members Marselle and Oliva left, seemingly ending the INNER STRENGTH story. But now, decades later, Divebomb Records is excited to present The Common Theme. It's the final disc in a three - disc series, gathering 15 recordings from 1994 - 1996 that were meant to be part of INNER STRENGTH's second album. Most of these tracks have never been released to the public. Remastered by Jamie King at The Basement Recording, the CD comes with a thick booklet full of memorabilia and part three of a retrospective interview with Scott Oliva and Joe Marselle.
